Do you want to write a bleak, disturbing story that plays with the ideas of well known faerie tales?
Well then, I know of a contest for you!
The Scottish National Ballet, Edinburgh City of Literature and the Scotsman have joined together to create a great opportunity for any would-be writer.
The Scottish Ballet is looking for writers to submit a work told from the adult’s perspective of a village that no longer has any children. The winning piece will be used to help develop the new ballet production of Hansel and Gretel, while all those short-listed will get to take part in a writing master class with Louise Welsh.
